This morning we went down to the local lobster pound, Young’s, to buy the makings of a seafood stew…the day simply sparkled!

Have you been to Young's Lobster Pound?

Looking across the Bay and the mouth of the Passagassawakeag river into Belfast
Locally we’re more apt to call the Passagassawakeag simply “the Passy.” It’s an approximately 11 mile long tidal river that you cross when you’re driving between Belfast and Searsport on route 1. A wonderful river to paddle, it’s also a local fishing spot with the dedicated fishing bridge and if you’d rather explore the shore by land, you’ll find the Stover Preserve along the shores with an established walking trail.

Oh, how I miss Young’s. What a definitely sparkling day – the snow looks tremendous and beautiful.
Stay warm!
